Former SIAC Members Move to Division I (FCS)

The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) was founded in 1913 and was previous named Southeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In 1929, the name was changed to The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The SIAC is a member of NCAA Division II.

Two institutions have held continuous membership in the conference: Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) and Tuskegee University.

Florida A&M University
Departed the SIAC in 1979

Bethune-Cookman University
Departed the SIAC in 1979

Alabama State University
Departed the SIAC in 1976

Alabama A&M University
Departed the SIAC in 1998
